better late than never...

It seems like forever ago that we were in Hawaii. I've been wanting to post about it for 2 months now. But I've been busy. Busy doing some photography. Busy having a house full of family visiting and busy (exhausted, nauseous, lack luster) growing a baby!! Yuppers. WE are due with babe #2 in early December, I'm just through my first trimester and finally feeling human again!

We did have a lovely time in Hawaii. The sun was so warm, the sea was so blue and the sand got everywhere! Pax loved, loved, loved the sand. Eating it, digging in it, throwing it... We spent a week on the north shore of Oahu with our good friends Mike, Leah and their sweet girl Hazel. It was the perfect way to spend spring break. Hawaii is and will always be a favourite. This is a bit of what it looked like through my iphone. I was lazy with the camera this time around, but still managed to have fun with my iphone camera.

I think the pictures speak louder than any words I could put here. I love making memories with my little (but growing!!) family. xox

good times in seattle...

We got away for the weekend! One of the best parts about living on the west coast is how close we are to so many amazing cities! We'd been talking about heading down to Seattle because monday was a holiday for Rob. Last minute we were able to get someone to watch Dreyfus, so Friday after Rob got home, we threw a few things together and jumped in the car. Now, we were both a wee bit leery of taking Paxton back to a hotel. Portland this summer was a sleepless nightmare, but we decided it was worth the risk. And Paxton came through! He was awesome. Didn't sleep as well as he does at home, but it was very manageable. And he was amazing all weekend. We did some shopping, went out for dinner, took him to a crazy overloaded multicultural play area in the mall (which was chaos to say the least) and he just went along with it all. And was happy about it :)

Paxton loved the long hallways and the big windows.

I wish we had a full week of days to explore Seattle. I even managed to find myself a photo-worthy green door :) It seems like there are just too many fun neighbourhoods to investigate.

I've been itching to take some family photos, so we dragged the camera along and the sun even made an appearance. I'm sure we looked a little ridiculous smiling at a camera with no one behind it, but hey, it worked! Here's some of my fav's from the day :)

Back to the rain today...
