My oh my how time flies. I can not believe Paxton is officially 18 mos old! It truly feels like just moments ago that I snuggled that new body so close to mine. Thankfully he's still a snuggler!
Here are some favourite little tid bits and facts about my boy that I want to remember!
- Paxton didn't get a tooth till 2 days before he turned 1. In the last 6 months he's gotten 12!! and he is now working on his eye teeth. Teething is NOT fun!
- Paxton has been slow to start talking but in the last month has learnt a lot more words. His very first word was Dada, with Mama close behind :) His current vocab includes: Mama,Dada,BALL,shoes,Gigi,Grampa,Grama,(still working on granddad),goal,birdie,more,thank you,apple, and I think that's about it! I love hearing little words come out of his mouth- so cute!
- He's 25lbs, at 6 mos he was 20, so in a year he's only gained 5 more... that just shows how much he is moving.
- Paxton loves to play with his ball. It is his most favourite toy. He will kick, throw and chase a ball around the house for 30-60 min almost every day. It's so fun to watch him learn to play by himself.
- His other favourite "toy" is any little bottle he can wrap his little hand around. He loves tylenol bottles, moisturizers, toothbrushes... he often falls asleep with them clenched in both hands. This makes for very easy amusement, and also keeps me on my toes as my toiletries seem to have grown legs :)
- He's also a fairly picky eater. One day he'll eat everything you offer, the next he won't touch even something that's been a favourite for months. His top favourite foods that most often he loves are peaches, pasta, chicken fingers, apples and apple sauce and red pepper. Oh and of course cookies!
- Paxton has already had 3 haircuts. And his hair has a tinge of red to it. I.LOVE.IT! I hope it stays!
- Paxton has been on 9 return flights. He does amazing on the air plane and can point them out flying in the air above us before we do!
- He also loves the bath tub, his boats and bubbles. Here's a few fun photos from the month...
